Program Overview: (Earn 21 Professional Development Hours)
Professional development hours (PDH) is the term that ASLA and the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System use to describe how much credit a course carries. One professional development hour requires at least 50 minutes of instruction. Additional time is measured in 15-minute increments. For example, each 90-minute education session equals 1.5 professional development hours.
More than 134 education sessions, field sessions, tours, workshops, and general sessions will be offered throughout the meeting. Full registration offers access to 21 PDH toward maintenance of your state license (where mandated); earn more hours by participating in ticketed field sessions, tours, or workshops.
Following the meeting, ASLA will provide attendees with access to a certificate providing proof of the PDH earned throughout the annual meeting. The exact number of hours accepted for licensure purposes may vary by state, but ASLA has made every effort to structure educational opportunities that adhere to the most widely acknowledged guidelines of state registration boards requiring continuing education. Additionally, ASLA registers selected appropriate education programs with allied professional organizations, including the American Institute of Architects, the American Institute of Certified Planners, and the U.S. Green Building Council.
