"The jury was impressed that the project was comprehensive in that the landscape architect had to address grade changes and drainage, functional and aesthetic issues for the client and did so with a scheme that is visually united throughout. Consistent use of forms is a strength, use of materials and detailing are excellent. Scheme relates well to the house and provides large paved surfaces for entertainment without it dominating the backyard."
